Fragmented Friday

Started the day out behind…overslept and I’ve been behind ever since.  Am I the only one who does that?

We have sunshine today, but very windy.  Emily didn’t think much of the weather when I took her out, even though it was dry.  Fred can’t be bothered to consider weather at all…thank goodness.  One finicky dog is enough!

Thoughts today are in bits and pieces…so glad to hear that Cher is not dead, slightly interested in “unknown” thing found in the Baltic Sea, not interested at all in what underworld character is funding Newt’s campaign, and totally uninterested in President Obama’s failed attempt at a joke during his State of the Nation speech….certainly not the time for a funny.

Maybe I should have called this grumpy Friday!  As I get older I find that my thoughts are often less tolerant than they used to be.  Maybe it’s because I never really thought about anything that didn’t directly affect me?  I was much busier then; now I have the time to really consider what I read about and what I see.  I don’t like much of what I read about and see; downright get annoyed by some of what I read about and see; and some things I read about and see cause me to truly ache about what is going on in the world around me.  Yup…I am getting old!  I remember my dad used to be outraged at what was happening to the world and how different things were than in his childhood and younger years.  He was 91 when he died in 1997.  I’m so glad he didn’t have to see what has happened since.

My plans for the weekend are to knit and to knit some more…so many projects and so little time, etc.,etc.,etc.

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend,

SS

P.S.  I am also trying to learn how to use blogspot.com….you can see my latest attempts at suzysomething.blogspot.com
