Another Rainy Day!

Rain all week ;o(

I feel guilty for not welcoming the rain with all the appreciation that local farmers are feeling.  We really needed the rain, especially since ours is an agricultural area and depends on what grows here.  Still, it’s gray and gloomy and I tend to be the same.  I’ve discovered that I welcome the rain in a different way these days….all my joints ache in anticipation and then decide to continue to ache until the sun comes out again.

Today is a day for staying inside and keeping dry. But, if you have to be out in it, here’s something you will need to help you keep from getting too wet.

At least they are colorful, and bright colors always make me happy. Maybe today is a good day to knit on something bright.  That’s after I finish my homework, of course. ;-)

Not much to be thoughtful about this week…besides the earthquake in Japan, the terrible damage the tornadoes have caused in the mid-west, the on-and-on-and-on-going election news coverage…and so it goes.  I’ve been keeping track of the Afghani reactions to the killing of those people by an American soldier.  I feel so sorry for the soldier and his family, sorrier still for those who unnecessarily died at his hand and their families, and even more sorry that what he did could cause our nation to be in a heightened war condition and reignite the war in Afghanistan, with the US not in the leading part of advising and helping.  It’s more than a little frightening.

On a much happier note, my daughter and I will be going to see a stage production of ‘Mama Mia‘ on Sunday. We’ve seen it before, both the movie and a different stage production…but I just love the music!  I’ll be humming and singing for the next week, at least.  The tickets were my Christmas gift from my daughter, so I’ve been looking forward to this weekend for nearly three months.

Have a good weekend!
