I swore I’d never use my blogs to raise money…but that was then…and this is now. My beloved son-in-law was in a tragic accident last weekend.
The picture is of Roy and Sophie, his just-turned-one-year-old granddaughter.
We ask for your positive thoughts and prayers for his recovery. Thank you.

In the true spirit of this season, these folks came together to participate in an event that lifted them all as one huge hug…
Zach must have been a very special young man. He was a ray of light that has been shared by the millions of people who have watched this video. His life was full …but far too short. This video collage was made with love by the people who loved him.
These videos touched and moved me. December is a hard month for me because I lost my son to suicide in 2008, just before Christmas. His life was too short…like Zach’s. The difference between the two of them is vast. Zach wanted to live and couldn’t…my son didn’t want to live at all. Watching these celebrations of life was especially meaningful to me. Uplifting and inspirational . Heart-warming. An everyday epiphany that brightened my day and instantly became one of …My Favorite Things.
I’m busy working on last-minute Christmas gifts. Am I the only one who waits until Thanksgiving to suddenly realize I have only 20-some days to finish all the stuff I started in July?? [me, looking sheepish]
I may not make it back again until after the first of the year. Can you believe it’s nearly 2014? Gosh…when I was a teenager I couldn’t even imagine living to the end of the century, let alone 14 years into it! ;o)
My wish for you all is that your holidays are bright and full of joy. That you are filled with the Spirit of the Season and the peace and grace that surrounds us all.
Merry Christmas…God bless you…every one.
Wordless on this day of Remembrance. Last night I put together this collage. . . it expresses my feelings about Memorial Day
